Powerful Harley Davidson X440 is introduced in India.

At a ceremony held at the Hero Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT), the Harley Davidson X440 was unveiled by Jochen Zeitz, the chairman, president, and CEO of Harley-Davidson, and Pawan Munjal, the CEO of Hero MotoCorp.

An entirely new 440cc oil-cooled, long-stroke, BSVI (OBD II), and E20-compliant engine, a first for Hero MotoCorp, powers the Harley-Davidson X440. The motorcycle provides an incredibly flat torque curve, producing 90% of its peak torque from as low as 2000 rpm, the business claimed. "The engine punches a best-in-class power output of 27 bhp as well as the best-in-class maximum torque of 38NM," it added.

The engine has a slipper clutch and assist for precise handling. According to the manufacturer, the 6-speed transmission's optimised gearing enables comfortable city commuting and motorway driving.
