SON

Son (the mother said), when you grow up, and the years pass through your body and the paths open up for you as you walk, when you grow up and gain life, if you are important and come to command;

Julia Orozco's heartfelt message to her son: Grow with kindness, never harm, offer peace, share bread, hugs, smiles, and tenderness. Be a beacon of peace and serenity.

LISTEN

Never do wrong,
do not offend, do not steal,
don't think bad,
make your way
in offering of
peace.
Do not deny bread
if you had,
not a hug
to whom in pain
this,
not a smile
in sadness,
don't even deny
tenderness…
lonely.

Because my
son,
my little
you, be peace,
put light on me
in the darkness
and in restlessness..
put serenity

It is Peace, word
of man,
peace, soul in
freedom,
peace,
the one that
dwells,
in hearts of
darling,
in rays of sun,
in oceans of calm…
son, my beloved
my love…
be peace you.

HIJO

Hijo ( decía la madre), cuando crezcas, y pasen los años por tu cuerpo y los caminos se te abran al andar, cuando llegues a mayor y ganes vida, si eres importante y llegases a mandar;

ESCUCHA

Jamás hagas mal,
no ofendas, no robes,
no pienses mal,
haz tu camino
en ofrenda de
paz.
No niegues pan
si tuvieras,
ni un abrazo
a quien en dolor
está,
ni una sonrisa
en tristeza,
ni niegues
ternura…
en soledad.

Porqué mi
hijo,
mi pequeño
tu, se paz,
ponme luz
en las tinieblas
y en inquietud..
pon serenidad.

Es Paz, palabra
de hombre,
paz, alma en
libertad,
paz,
aquella que
habita,
en corazones de
cielo,
en rayos de sol,
en océanos de calma…
hijo, mi amado
mi amor…
sé paz tú.

Con amor

Today in Opinion

Sindhu Gopalkrishnan
I love writing as I get to create something beautiful and touch others with my words in the process. I love the fact that I can create a whole new world, something no one else has ever seen. Writing helps me to escape reality and create new realities. At times, I also write stuff in those stories that I can never muster the courage to say in real life. It's my safe space. I can write whatever I am feeling and I can let it all out. It's also very therapeutic to me..
