Poem | Lost Ones

Grief is a strange beast
Arriving without warning
Making your heart thunder
As memories flood in
Your heart overwhelmed
Aching for what once was
Part of you forever changed
From the exit of a sacred soul
Resist the urge to shut down
Honor your dear lost one
Love again
