A very short story I would like to tell you during a Ganesh Visarjan. It is a straight and simple to understand of being positive and how negativity flushes out from our body. I was travelling in the car heading to the railway station to drop my parents. Before I leave the house, I did not check that today was a state holiday due to Ganesh Visarjan. (An India festival of God Ganesha) due to which the entire Pune city was blocked by traffic of humans and bands. However, I got to know this when I caught in the heart of the city. I left the house as per the regular time, according to the distance it was going to take me 1 hour and 35 min to reach the station to catch the train. I was driving in the cloudy and slippery roads. However, there was no rain. As well as, driving the car in an average speed as I was certain that it was going to take us to the destination 20 mins in advance. Therefore, I was also damn sure that no Indian trains, buses, or aeroplanes hardly leaves the station on the time.
An unexpected cyclone of weird thoughts slowly started gathering in my head and began to play with my conscious mind. It happened when I saw the roads crowded with public dancing, throwing colours on the streets and taking idol Ganesha with greeting of loud music to Visarjan ghat. Indistinct vision of me could understand that both sided footpath were crowded, and the road was in such a condition that a kid couldn’t cross the road. Furthermore, you can guess how one could move the car? There were series of idol Ganesha on the big trucks along with their respective bands in front (with sets of huge musical instruments) and community members chattering and cheering.
The sweat swiftly appeared on the tip of my nose like early morning dew drops. However, they appear in the cold, but on my nose, they were the witness of the stressful situation and lack of concentration. The passengers on the back seat (my father, mother, daughter, and my wife) were eager to go to my native place. Therefore, looking at the situation, I was damn sure that all are going to miss the train. All the members in the car were talking negative as below,
- We should have left the house early.
- Nobody knew that today was Ganesh Visarjan.
- What if the train left, we will lose the huge amount today.
- It could have been better if we booked the ticket for the next day.
There is an existence of unconscious connection between mind and situation
Every one of us, including me, were supporting negative thoughts. My leg on the accelerator was trembling, and unexpected speed could be seen in the movement of the vehicle. The rushing was not expected in the crowded roads. It was probably the sign of danger. My wife was constantly checking on Google map to find a possible way free of traffic to reach the destination on the time. However, everyone were assuming that in 10 minutes to grab the train in such a crowded place seemed no other option. Due to the wrong turns, every so often we could come on the same road we were before. I was as a driver completely lost, every man and woman, kids and roads with shops were looking the same. My parents and wife got that I am driving weird and in hurry. I voice of positiveness brought me back to life. The voice I was looking for to make my mind stable, confident, and fresh.
“Don’t worry. Forget about the train and money. Keep yourself calm and focused on the road and drive safely.”
It was my dad who uttered it with full confidence and cheerfully. I breathe out slowly with a relief of sigh. The rise of heat instantly flushed away as soon as I opened the windows. On the arrival of the one sentence with positive note, I was feeing the no more emptiness, free of burden and refreshed. Not only me, but all the people in the car was experiencing a bit relaxed and freshen up. We safely reached the railway station half an hour late. As soon as, we got down, everyone rushed out of the car and started their furious legs to move forward, pull out their bags out from the boot. I quickly parked the car and followed all of them to the platform and looking at their situation I wondered, everyone were surprised.

The train was right there waiting for us. Everyone occupied their seats, got relaxed and looked happy. What if nobody start with a positive note? Something bad could have happened on the road. It was positiveness which attract the negative thoughts.
